The Imperial Treasury
One of the world´s most important collections of its kind with the almost perfectly conserved, unique medieval crown jewels. Wagenburg – The Imperial Carriage Museum
A selection of the 600 vehicles once used by the imperial court are displayed here. It is a comprehensive collection ranging from pompous golden carriages designed to demonstrate power and everyday carriages for the imperial family to service vehicles for the estate staff and large delivery wagons as well as travelling carriages, vehicles for leisure and sporting and children's miniature carriages.

Kunsthistorisches Museum / Art History Museum - Highlight Tour

Kunsthistorisches Museum / Art History Museum - Picture Gallery
The first floor gallery is the most famous in the whole museum. You will see works by Breughel and Rubens along with Raphael's Madonna in the Meadow, Tintoretto's Susanna and the Elders and Titian's Ecce Homo - a firework of colour and artistry.

Kunsthistorisches Museum / Art History Museum - Kunstkammer
The Kunstkammer Wien is the most important collection of its kind in the world, modelled on the chambers of art and curiosities of the late Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Guests experience a world of beauty and wit, curiosities, and wonder.
The main works were collected from Vienna, Prague, Ambras and Graz. They include Miseroni's 'Dragon Bowl', Cellini's 'Salt Cellar' and the 'Table Automaton', which is an incredible clockwork table decoration, as well as exquisite ivory carvings.

Naturhistorisches Museum / Natural History Museum
The largest and oldest display collection of meteorites in the world awaits you here. You may meet the 'Venus of Willendorf', a statuette which is over 25,000 years old, admire the Siberian tiger and the giant dinosaur skeletons. Those who like to reach for the stars can see the edge of the Milky Way galaxy or the rings of Saturn at the new Digital Planetarium.

The State Hall of the National Library
The baroque hall is known as one of the most beautiful and historical libraries in the world. Emperor Karl VI commissioned Joseph Emanuel Fischer von Erlach to build this jewel of baroque architecture to house the imperial library. The ceiling frescoes were painted by the court artist, Daniel Gran in 1730. Today, the State Hall is home to some 200,000 books, including the 15,000-volume collection of Prince Eugene of Savoy.

Albertina
From the Habsburg's resplendent interiors to the Batliner collection. Albert of Saxe-Teschen had this magnificent palace built around 1800, which his adopted son Archduke Karl furnished in the style of the French Empire. Joseph Danhauser was commissioned to fill the palace with expensive furniture and parquet flooring. Today, 20 sumptuous state rooms take you back to the resplendent classicism of the early 19th century. The Batliner collection is one of the most important collections of paintings from the classic modern period. It is the core of the permanent exhibition which consists of nearly 500 artworks, ranging from French Impressionism to contemporary art.

Belvedere Palace
Belvedere Palace holds one of the most significant collections of Austrian art, ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day. The world's largest Gustav Klimt collection is the centrepiece of the 'Art around 1900' exhibition in the Upper Belvedere. Here you will find Klimt's 'The Kiss' and 'Judith' from his golden period as well as master pieces by Schiele and Kokoschka. Famous works from French Impressionism and a significant Vienna Biedermeier collection are also on display.

The Academy of Fine Arts

Military Museum
Wars belong in a museum, and so here you will find everything from the Turkish siege in 1683 to the Napoleonic Wars and the time of Radetzky, including the famous carriage in which the heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand was shot in Sarajevo in 1914.
